- Runglish is spoken in a number of English-Russian communities, most notably the Russian-speaking community of Brighton Beach in Brooklyn, New York. The English language is also used more and more due to internet communication and the spread of popculture, especially among the youth.
- This reflects a quite interesting future for the Runglish variety of English, despite political, social and even scholarly negative attitudes towards the variety.
- This is further reinforced by certain features being introduced into the media and literature, to mention but two fields.
The title of the Russian novel: 'Брачный коNтракт или Who is ху…' (Marriage Contract, or Who is Who… ) by Tatyana Ogorodnikova, includes an aspect of Runglish (Englishisation) and shows how Runglish managed to be used in such spheres as literature.

Духless, literally Soul-less, is a novel, published in 2006, by Russian writer Sergey Minaev (Lazaretnaya, 2012: 91). The title is "Englishized" via the use of the English affix -less in its title. In 2012, a movie with the same title was produced.

Runglish in outer space:
- One of the major mile-stones in the history of Runglish was back in 2000. At this time the word 'Runglish' itself was used for the first time by Cosmonaut Sergei Krikalyov, who was abroad the International Space Station with other American astronauts, and who said:
- NASA has since begun listing Runglish as one of the on-board languages.
