The features of the consonant system of Runglish include:
- Final voiced consonants are devoiced, as is the case in Russian:
- English aspirated consonants lack aspiration in Runglish.
- Runglish /r/ is rolled on the tongue as in Scots, Irish or Italian, but not as a retroflex.
- /h/is pronounced/x/ (c.f. Runglish videos section).
- /ŋ/is pronounced/n/.
- /w/is pronounced/v/.
- /Ɵ/is pronounced/s/ or, less often, /f/
- /ð/ is pronounced /z/ or, less often, /d/
