- Russians from diffrent ethnic backgrounds have access to English, do learn it and speak it.
- Some people in Russia start learning English early (at the age of seven in the case of the first interviewee). The interviewees did not specify, however, how he learned English at this early age (whether he learned it through public schooling, private schoolig or the internet).
- Others start learning the language very late as was the case of Mr. Dmitry who started learning English in his 30's.
- Fluency in English varies among its speakers in Russia, and some people do consider themselves fluent speakers in it while others see their skills as median.
- People have contact with English in different spheres of life, mainly the internet.
- People in Russia use English for different purposes.
- Some people do not use English very frequently in their daily interactions.
- When speaking Russian, the interviewees use English vocabulary. The opposite do not happen when they speak English.
- Some people will openly accept the fact that they are speakers of Runglish.
- People are very interested in learning English, and they have positive feelings towards it.
- People are very positive for the future of English in Russia. For them, learning English is very useful tourism, internet communication and trading.
